Welcome to Chez Drocella Eglantine Lodge, a nature lover’s paradise nestled in the heart of Nyanza’s ecological zone. Located opposite the beautiful Nyamagana Mere and surrounded by lush green trees, our lodge offers a serene retreat with breathtaking views of the southern rolling hills. Just a five-minute drive from Nyanza Town center, we provide comfortable rooms adorned with beautiful artwork and traditional textiles, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our Background
Chez Drocella Eglantine Lodge is more than just a lodge. We are committed to supporting our community, with a portion of our proceeds going towards helping disadvantaged women and children. Our lodge, once a refuge for women with HIV/AIDS and an orphanage for children affected by the genocide, now serves as a base for cultural and outdoor enthusiasts. Guests can engage with local traditions, enjoy bird watching, and partake in various activities such as local crafts and scrumptious African cuisine. Managed by Madam Drocella, our lodge not only offers an authentic Rwandan experience but also plays a vital role in promoting education and cultural heritage in the area.
The Foundation
Our Foundation, as a Non-Governmental Organization, supports education for widows and orphans while promoting culture and art through music and theatricals. Founded by a dedicated philanthropist, your stay directly benefits these initiatives, fostering hope, empowerment, and community development in Nyanza.
